Reset a failed course

If you've failed your course and it's now locked, you need to speak to your manager who can reset it for you.

⚠️ Important: You need specific permission to be able to reset courses. If you can't reset courses, reach out to your Head Office.

If you're a manager or general manager, you can reset a failed course by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to console.

  2. Click Stats, then click Descendant Stats.

  3. Search for and select the learner in question.

    • In the search bar on top of the page, enter the name of the employee whose course needs to be reset.

    • Don't click on the employee's name.

  4. Navigate using the scroll bar.

    • Use the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the page to navigate through their assigned courses.

    • Each course is represented by an icon. These icons may stretch across the screen, so you will need to scroll left or right to view them all.

  5. Click Reset.

    • Once you locate the failed course, you’ll see a small reset option appear below the icon.

Note: If you can't find the reset button, this may happen because you don't have the right permission or the course is not failed.

Scorm course

Note: Scorm courses typically launch in a new browser window.

To reset a scorm course follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Course or Learning tile.

  2. Click Launch course.

  3. Click Retake assessment.

    • Once a user fails the end assessment, a failure message appears along with the reset button. This automatically redirects you to the first question of the end assessment, allowing you to retry.

    • If the user closes the window after failing the end assessment, an additional failure message and reset option is provided upon returning to the course.

🤓 Tip: If required, you can set up automatic resets for failed courses.
