Another month, another release notes!
While the CPL Learning team has been heads down working on something big coming soon, we’ve continued shipping improvements along the way.
Here's a roundup of what’s new 👇
Deactivate company button – restricted access
We've made an important update to the Deactivate Company button in the Admin Tool.
Previously, this button was accessible to all admins, including standard company admins. This led to an incident where a company was accidentally deactivated, causing all users to lose access immediately.
To prevent this from happening again, we've now restricted who can interact with this button.
What’s changed:
Admins without the required permission can no longer interact with the button
Admins with the required permission will see a confirmation pop-up before any action is taken — giving them a chance to confirm or cancel before the change is made. Once confirmed, the company is deactivated and can be reactivated by clicking the button again.
This permission cannot be assigned by admins and is restricted to a specific user group
Email templates – a fresher, clearer communication experience
We're continuing our work to redesign all email notifications across CPL Learning, with a focus on improved clarity, consistency and structure.
Previously, email notifications varied in structure, tone and clarity, which could sometimes lead to confusion. We’re addressing this by introducing a consistent and professional email design across the platform.
Following our last release, the following notification categories are now updated and live:
Compliance Groups
Discover
Log into platform
As shown in the example above, we’ve also refreshed the visual styling across all email templates, including an updated CPL logo, header bar colour and primary elements such as buttons.
These visual updates have been applied across all email categories, ensuring a consistent look and feel throughout every notification your users receive.
Appraisal rating scale – exact decimal scores
We’ve made a small improvement to how overall ratings are displayed on appraisals. They now display exact decimal scores instead of rounded numbers.
Previously, when an appraisal used an average calculation, the overall rating was rounded to the nearest whole number. This has now been updated, and the exact decimal score is displayed instead.
Example: if a learner receives ratings of 7 and 8, the overall rating will now show as 7.5 rather than being rounded up to 8.
Please note: This applies to appraisals where Average is selected as the calculation type, Plain Text as the display format, and the Display as Decimal toggle is enabled.
Type-ahead search for division, site, position & date of birth
We've made some useful improvements in Manage Team Members.
Type-ahead search for division, site & position
Previously, the Division, Site and Position fields displayed long dropdown lists that required scrolling to find the right option.
These fields now support type-ahead search — simply start typing and the list filters in real time to show matching options.
Date of birth – text input
The Date of Birth field now supports both a date picker and direct text input. You can use the calendar picker as before or type the date directly — whichever is faster.
Evo Navigator – new updates
We continue to expand the capabilities of Evo Navigator.
Following our last release, we've introduced two new updates to make your Navigator experience even more powerful.
My Checklist quick section – progress indicator
We've added a progress indicator to the My Checklist quick section in Navigator, making it easier to see how many items still need your attention — without opening the full checklist page.
Here's how it works:
Each folder displays a count of incomplete actionable items — drilling down into subfolders updates the count accordingly
As you complete items, the count updates in real time
The count reflects only items that require your action — it excludes checklists waiting on a manager to sign off, items marked as N/A, and anything already completed
🔜 A progress indicator for checklists is also coming to the new LMS currently in development — watch this space!
Journey allocator – new quick action in Navigator
Managers can now allocate Learning Journeys directly from Evo Navigator, without navigating to the platform.
Here's how it works:
Search for and select a Learning Journey to manage
View all current allocations for that journey
Add new allocations via two methods:
Automated allocation — assign the journey to a user group, so any user added to that group automatically receives access
One-off allocation — assign the journey to specific user groups or individual users
If a user is included in both a user group allocation and a one-off allocation, they are only allocated once
Both allocation types include an optional Include all items toggle, which allocates all items, including those not currently assigned, which may become accessible later
Only published journeys can be allocated — unpublished journeys are not available to select
Please note: To access and manage Learning Journeys in Navigator, users must have Learning Journey Management permissions within the platform.
Evo Navigator is not available by default. To upgrade to Evo Navigator, speak to your Account Manager or CSM/TSM.
Have questions about any of the features above, or interested in making changes or migrations to your platform? Reach out to your Account Manager or CSM/TSM — we're happy to help!
More updates are planned as we continue to evolve the platform.
