Add questions to a module through course creator

To add questions to your modules as you create your course follow the steps:

  1. Log in to course manager.

    • Use the same credentials of your CPL Learning account.

  2. Click Courses or Groups, then select the course that you need.

  3. Click Edit content, then click arrow on the left side.

  4. Click Questions section below, then select the module that you need

  5. Click Add questions.

    • You can allocate questions to each module you have created.

    • If you decide to add questions to Module 1 for example, you must add question pages to this module.

    • The questions added to Module 1 will only show up in Module 1.

  6. Enter a question into the textbox on the left side, then click Add parameter.

    • The parameters make up the multi-choice options provided to the user.

    • Assign the Correct Answers.

    • If a parameter is correct, tick the box at the end of the row.

    • A single question can have multiple correct answers, and the user will need to select them all in order to pass the question.

  7. Click Save then, click Create to confirm.

Set question options

  • When a question is created by default this is set to Active. A question can be marked as Inactive if it is no longer required.

  • If the question should not be assigned to any user, tick Do Not Assign. If the question parameters should not be loaded in a random order, tick Do Not Randomise Order.

  • To add the question to the Question Bank for the selected module, click Create. To cancel the new question, click Close.

  • If the course is live and has users on it you should only tick Do Not Assign and leave the question active. Otherwise, any users who have already answered that question will have one less on their records.
