In this section, you’ll find guidance on how to add a certificate to a course you're creating through the course manager. This article guides you through the process of uploading a certificate template and assigning it to a course, ensuring that learners receive a certificate upon completion.

Add a certificate to your course through course creator

To access the certificate configurator, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to course manager.

    • Sign in using your CPL Learning account credentials.

  2. Click Groups on top page then select the course you need to add a certificate.

  3. Click Course Certificate.

    • This is displayed on the course information page.

  4. Click Choose file, then click Done.

    • Acceptable file types are PNG or JPG. The ideal ratio is A4 portrait.

    • To configure the certificate, first upload the image of the certificate.

  5. Click Text Box to create an area where the user’s name will appear.

    • The name will appear at the top of the page by default. To move the text into place, simply drag the text up and down.

  6. Click Text Box to create an area where the date of completion will appear.

    • The date will appear at the top left of the page by default. To move the text into place, simply drag the text.

  8. Click Continue to move onto the text styling options.

    • Choose the text you would like to alter by clicking on it.

      • Hold Ctrl to select both.

    • A dashed border should appear above and below the text to show that it is selected.

    • To alter the size of the font, you can choose between three preset options.

      • To alter the font family, you can choose between multiple preset options.

      • To alter the font colour, you can enter a hex code into the text area or use the colour picker.

  9. Click Done.
